Donetsk, May 4 – DAN. Over 31 thousand WWII veterans and persons entitled to similar social aid have received lump sum payments for the V-Day, said the director of state social aid department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy Tatyana Litvinenko.

“The V-Day payments have been allocated to over 31 thousand people. The total amount is 80 mln rubles.”

Earlier she said that over 33 thousand WWII veterans and persons entitled to similar social aid will receive lump sum payments for the V-Day.
The payments range from 1,500 to 12,000 rubles depending on the recipient’s category. Those eligible can receive their allocations until June 30.

Veterans living in the Kiev-controlled territory are also eligible for payments under the humanitarian program for the reunification of the Donbass people. Latest reports show that 1.5 mln rubles have already been distributed among the WWII participants living in the Kiev-controlled territory. *ot
