Donetsk, Feb 1 – DAN. The public committee for registering Ukrainian authorities’ war crimes in Donbass passed evidence of 17 crimes of Ukrainian army to the International Criminal Court in The Hague, a commission representative told a news said.
"We handed over materials on 17 crimes committed by Ukrainian forces in Donbass covering 38 cases of civilian casualties: 23 children and 10 adults killed and four children and one adult injured,” said lawyer Elena Shishkina.
She said the submitted documents cover "Gorlovka Bloody Sunday" case (July 27, 2014, the town was shelled with MLRS Grad, dozens of civilians killed); Donetsk school No63 football pitch shelling (November 5, 2014, two pupil were killed); and Kovalenko family murder (three members of the family were killed in Donetsk's Kalininskiy district in 2014).
The public committee on recording Kiev forces war crimes was launched in mid-2015. Criminal and law experts aim to gather data on the crimes the Ukrainian armed forces committed in Donbass.*ot
