Donetsk, Mar 16 – DAN. DPR Public Chamber and People's Militia have delivered humanitarian aid to the township of Sartana in the Mariupol district.
Currently, approximately 3,000 people live in the township, 200 of them are in a bomb shelter of a local school as their houses are located close to the front line.
"We have delivered nearly 400 food kits, household chemicals, construction film to close shattered windows temporary," the deputy chairwoman of the Chamber Ekaterina Martyanova said.
The aid was provided by the Public Chamber of the Moscow region and Republican parliamentarians. In two weeks, DPR activists delivered 15 tons of humanitarian supplies to liberated areas.
The Phoenix mobile carrier has installed its base station in Sartana covering eastern suburbs of Mariupol, where mobile network is available now.
Base stations are being installed in Volnovakha.
Russia started a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the decision was made after the DPR and LPR Heads addressed him asking for help.
The Russian leader said that Moscow is not planning to occupy Ukrainian territory, the only goal is to protect people who have been continuously shelled and subjected to other forms of genocide by Ukraine for eight years. *ot
