Makeyevka, Jul 11 — DAN. The authorities will take measures against the business people who have raised prices of construction materials in Makeyevka after the July 4 attack, Donetsk People’s Republic Acting Head Denis Pushilin said at a meeting with town residents on Tuesday.
“Regrettably, the human factor does happen, but we’ll stop them: we’ll give them a rap over the knuckles, ” Pushilin said. “We’ll monitor those who get weird ideas, and take the appropriate measures.”
Residents complained that prices of construction materials such as plastic film, plaster or window units which are made to order jumped after the massive missile attack on the town by Kiev forces on July 4.
The Donetsk News Agency earlier reported that some 80 residents whose homes had been damaged in the attack applied for compensations. Kiev missile strikes damaged 213 homes, ten schools and ten kindergartens in the Chervonogvardeisky district, and 67 homes, two kindergartens and two schools in the Kirovsky district. Town hospitals sustained significant damage as well.
Pushilin chaired a meeting in Makeyevka over rebuilding the damaged infrastructure. He ordered to complete the related paperwork in the nearest future. Most of the repairs have to be carried out within the next two months.*jk
