Donetsk, Jun 10 — DAN. All schools in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics will get new textbooks by September 1, Russian Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov said on Friday.

“The education minister said that all Donbass schools would be provided with new textbooks on September 1. Kravtsov believes that creating a common education space is a process interesting to both sides; Russia will carefully examine the teaching experience in these territories, too, ” the Ministry’s press service said.

DPR and LPR schools will introduce the position of educational advisor to the director in the beginning of the new schoolyear. The advisor’s duties include the organization of schoolchildren’s extracurricular activities such as theatre or cinema going. Starting June 14, a retraining program will be launched for DPR and LPR teachers and their colleagues in liberated areas.

The education system in the Donbass Republics has been actively switching to Russian standards at all levels.*jk
