Donetsk, Sep 19 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic will get 450 buses by the year 2025 including some 240 by February 2024, DPR first deputy government chairman Andrey Chertkov said during a direct line session on Tuesday.

“We’re getting 451 buses of different capacity from 2023 to 2025, ” Chertkov said.   “The DPR will have 161 buses by February 2024, 20 buses will be supplied by the Russian Transport Ministry and some 60 by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.”

The acquisition of trams is a pressing issue as this type of transport is expensive he said adding that the DPR authorities would negotiate the issue with sponsor regions and Russian agencies.

Chertkov said that new electricity tariffs would be introduced in the region on October 2023 and that the Donetsk subway project would be carried through. The DPR is currently waiting for the Rosimushchestvo Federal Agency for State Property Management to confirm the possibility to hand over part of local collieries to investors.*jk
