Donetsk, Dec 20 — DAN. Repairs of the land route to Crimea via new regions along the Sea of Azov coast have been completed, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on Wednesday.

“Some 160 kilometers of roads were repaired in the DPR and the Zaporozhye region as part of the large project launched last year, and another 200 kilometers in 2023, ” Khusnullin said. “Thus, a 360-kilometer road link between Big Russia and Crimea via new regions is ready.”

Seven bridges were repaired, and 43 bus stop pavilions and 14 kilometers of crash barriers were constructed as part of the project. Two kilometers of curbstones were laid and some 2,000 road signs were installed, he added.

Earlier reports said that some 1,200 kilometers of roads were repaired in the Donetsk People’s Republic with the assistance of the Avtodor company in 2023.*jk
