Donetsk, Mar 2 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities have allowed onsite classes in 253 schools in the region, the Republic’s Education and Science Minister Olga Koludarova said on Thursday.
“Of the 589 schools, daily attendance has been organized in 253 schools wherever possible, ” Koludarova said. “Others operate online.”
Last autumn, the DPR had 247 schools with onsite training. The DPR Operations Headquarters will reopen the remaining schools to children as soon the military situation allows, she added.
DPR schools switched to remote leaning in early 2022 as the Donbass conflict escalated. Prior to that, the schools had moved classes online due to COVID restrictions.*jk
