Donetsk, Aug 30 — DAN. More than 11,000 school kits have been distributed to first-year pupils in the Donetsk People’s Republic by the beginning of the school year on September 1, Movement of the First regional branch spokeswoman Alyona Matviyenko told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.
“The remaining school kits will be distributed before September 5, Matviyenko said.
The first years who have not yet enrolled in school or have not had a health check will receive school kits, too, and schoolbags will be given to all DPR first years, she said.
Earlier reports said that 30,000 kits would be distributed in the new regions, including more than 14,000 in the DPR. The school supplies action is supported Movement of the First activists, Russian Education Ministry, Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Russia — Land of Opportunities non-profit organization, the United Russia political party and Russian Knowledge Society. *jk
