Donetsk, Jul 18 – DAN. Over 950 DPR students have received degree certificates with distinction, said the director of the education department of the Education and Science Ministry Andrey Alekhin.
"This year, 8,800 students graduated. The total number of degrees with honors is 956."
Vocational colleges awarded degrees to 9,539 graduates, 553 with distinction.
More than 15,000 applications have been made this year to DPR higher education institutions, Vocational colleges received 3,188 applications.
Entrance exams to DPR higher education institutions began on June 25 and are to last until July 31, the Ministry of Education and Science announced. Application forms and necessary documents are accepted in vocational colleges from July 1 to August 15.
Currently 18 higher education institutions and 105 vocational colleges operate in the DPR. *ot
