Donetsk, Aug 24 - DAN. The new schoolyear at Donetsk People’s Republic secondary schools will start with lessons devoted to the development of Russian culture, the DPR Ministry of Education and Science reported on Tuesday.
“The Republic’s Education and Science Ministry recommends to devote the first lesson to the Year of Russian Culture. The schools are free to choose the topic of the lesson,” the report said.
The list of recommended topics for grades 1 - 4 include “Our Talents for Russia,” “Praise to My Native Donbass,” and “Russian Culture as Inexhaustible Spring of Folk Wisdom.” The recommended topics for grades 5 – 9 are “Russian Culture Links Generations,” “Maintaining Traditions Preserves Our History and Culture,” and “Pearls of Russian Culture. “ For grades 10 - 11: “Donbass Spiritual Heritage is Integral Part of Russian Culture,” “Returning to Origins We Find Our True Identity” and “Many-Sided” World of Russian Culture.”
Earlier, the Republic announced the year 2021 the Year of Russian Culture.*jk
