Donetsk, Feb 27 — DAN. More than 4,700 university teachers in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics have improved their skills as part of the transition to Russian education standards, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education told the Donetsk News Agency.
“The Don State Technical University arranged advanced courses for 4,722 DPR and LPR university teachers, ” the press service said.
Last spring, 137 master degree holders and postgraduates from Donbass had advanced training in the “Philosophy of Science” basic scientific competence at the Saint Petersburg Mining University. In December 2022, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education held a workshop in Rostov-on-Don which was attended by the DPR and LPR education and science ministers and university rectors and representatives from the four new regions.
Earlier reports said that the DPR universities would fully adopt Russian education standards in September 2023.*jk
