Donetsk, Aug 12 - DAN. A Russian humanitarian aid convoy delivered to the Donetsk People’s Republic immunobiologicals and medical supplies for long-term hemodialysis, the DPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported on Thursday.

Earlier reports said that the 102nd humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) delivered 36 tons of relief supplies to Donetsk on Thursday. The cargo is currently being unloaded from the four white trucks sent by EMERCOM.

It includes vaccines against measles, parotitis, roseola and pneumococcal diseases, medications for treating cancer, haematological diseases, endocrine system diseases, diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus, sedatives, neurotropics, and  anti-infective and multiple sclerosis drugs.

Medical supplies for long-term hemodialysis has been delivered as well, the Ministry said.

Russia last sent relief supplies to the DPR on December 17, 2020. Back then, it delivered more than 19 tons of medications, medical supplies and equipment.

August 12 marks the 7th anniversary since Russia started delivering relief supplies to Donbass. Over this period, it has sent over 45,000 tons of cargo, including foodstuffs, baby food, medications and medical supplies, construction materials and equipment, seeds, fuel and lubricants, clothes, footwear, stationery, books and holiday gifts.*jk
