Donetsk, Jan 10 – DAN. Phoenix mobile carrier subscribers made nearly two million calls to Russia last year, the press service of DPR Communications Ministry told Donetsk News Agency.
“Phoenix customers made 1,880,172 calls to Russian mobile networks overall,” the Ministry said.
Phoenix clientele increased by some 340,000 in 2016, a six-fold increase from the previous year, and now reaches 400,000.
DPR’s first national mobile carrier provides complete coverage of the republic’s territory. It was test-launched on 16 June 2015. Six weeks later, cell phone plans became available at 120 rubles ($2) at DPR post offices. Phoenix began to operate at full capacity in February 2016.
Recharging Phoenix account is possible through payment terminals, at post offices and with scratch cards.*jk
