Donetsk, Apr 5 — DAN. The number of Russian passport acceptance facilities in the Donetsk People’s Republic has reached 62, the DPR Interior Ministry’s Migration Service told the Donetsk News Agency on Wednesday.
Mariupol Mayor Oleg Morgun said that a new passport office has been launched at 54 Ilyich Avenue on Wednesday for residents of the Ilyichevsky, Primorsky and Oktyabrsky districts. It plans to issue up to 1,000 passports per day.
“To reduce the workload on specialists and queues, a decision has been made to accept documents for passport and issue passports at different locations, ” Morgun said. “Residents of the Ilyichevsky, Primorsky and Oktyabrsky districts can apply for Russian passport at the nearest office in their residential area and collect the document at the main office in Ilyich Avenue.”
In the Ordzhonikidze district, applicants collect their passports at the acceptance facilities, he added.
Latest reports said that more than 682,000 Russian passports had been issued to DPR residents. On March 13, new passport offices were launched under the Multi-Functional Public Services Center and “Donbass Post.” *jk
