Donetsk, May 4 - DAN. Kiev continues to ignore the Donbass Republics’ peace initiatives while not paying proper attention to its armed forces and not controlling their actions in the region, Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin said on Tuesday.
“Today, the Ukrainian authorities show not only their intractability but also the inability to settle the conflict peacefully because (Vladimir) Zelensky cannot control his gunmen. If this is not stopped, the situation will store up terrible consequences, not only on the scale of the Donbass Republics and Ukraine-controlled areas,” Pushilin said.
“We insist on Ukraine holding the ceasefire violators responsible. Lawlessness and arbitrariness committed by Ukrainian armed formations members on the contact line must be stopped,” he said.
On Monday evening, DPR People’s Militia Senior Lieutenant Alexey Siverin was killed in enemy sniper fire in the Kominternovo village area. The DPR Head expressed his condolences to the militiaman’s family.*jk
