Donetsk, Mar 3 – DAN. The exchange of prisoners between DPR and Ukraine is unlikely to speed up after Ukrainian MP Nadezhda Savchenko visited Ukrainian POW in Makeyevka, said DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko.
"Will Savchenko's visit foster the detainees swap? I strongly doubt it," he said.
Zakharchenko said he thought Savchenko had come to DPR to show the importance of the swap to Ukrainian side. "If the visit helps we will accept any aid from the person who will help us to exchange our brothers," said DPR leader.
He emphasized Savchenko should not be regarded as a DPR ally, but in this case Ukrainian and DPR societies pursue the same goal – to carry out POW swap according to the Minsk Agreements.
