Donetsk, Aug 11 — DAN. Some two million people will be able to cast their ballots at the September elections in the Donetsk People’s Republic, DPR Election Commission Chairman Vladimir Vysotsky said at a press briefing on Friday.
“The work to update the voter list is ongoing; I’d say there’ll be about two million people on the list (of voters — eds Donetsk News Agency), ” Vysotsky said.
The DPR will hold the parliamentary and municipal elections on September 8-10. Residents of hard-to-access or remote areas can start voting on August 31. The DPR set up 36 territorial and 615 district election commissions. As many as 329 venues have been prepared in other Russian regions for exterritorial voting.*jk
