Donetsk, Dec 30 — DAN. The new Constitution of the Donetsk People’s Republic sets a procedure to protect historical memory and prevent the belittling of the feat of the people, DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin said at the extraordinary session of the parliament on Friday.
“Certain provisions of the Constitution regulate the procedure to preserve historical truth and memory about Fatherland defenders, and prohibit the actions to belittle the significance of the Russian people’s feat in defending the Fatherland, ” Pushilin said.
He also said that the Fundamental law gives priority to family in bringing up children and caring for their well-being and personal growth. This creates the conditions that contribute to the comprehensive spiritual, moral, intellectual and physical development of children in a family, and the cultivation of patriotism.
The DPR parliament adopted the new Constitution of the region at an extraordinary session on Friday, December 30. It will replace the Fundamental Law that has operated since 2014. The Constitution will come into force after official publication.*jk
