Donetsk, Oct 16 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic law-enforcement bodies have arrested a number of persons on suspicion of involvement in corruption, acting DPR Head Denis Pushilin said at a meeting with business people in the DPR capital on Tuesday.

“We already note changes in the approach to the operation of the Tax and Revenue Ministry. Yevgeny Lavrenov (acting Tax and Revenue Minister - eds Donetsk News agency) is working in this context receiving information from me and responding properly,” Pushilin said. “Furthermore, several persons have been detained as part of anti-corruption fight.”

“You’ll have the details within the next few days,” he added.

Earlier, the DPR set up an interdepartmental commission for investigating the activities of former Tax and Revenue Ministry officials and an interim parliamentary commission to look for facts of damage caused by tax officials to natural persons and legal entities.*jk
