Donetsk, Oct 18 – DAN. DPR envoy to Minsk negotiations, People’s Council Chairman Denis Pushilin said redeployment of Ukrainian hardware to the disengagement areas in Donbass is unacceptable.

“We should be discussing the next clauses on disengagement now, but Ukraine has not yet fulfilled the previous decision,” Pushilin told reporters on Tuesday after a video conference of the Contact Group. “Furthermore, Kiev threatens to bring back its forces and hardware to the positions from which it pulled them back. It is unacceptable.”

In his view, the disengagement of forces and hardware along the Сontact Line can put an end to fighting once and for all.

“These pilots areas have become a sort of experiment which Ukraine protracts. It is disadvantageous for Ukraine, and the terrorist attack on Morotola (DPR Hero, Colonel Arsen Pavlov) is a link in the chain,” the DPR official said. “Such provocations aim at distracting the public from the peace process.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Contact Group participants discussed the Donbass conflict settlement via video link.
