Donetsk, Sep 10 - DAN. Acting Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin has submitted a statement of resignation as DPR People’s Council (parliament) deputy, Pushilin’s aide in parliament Viktoria Talakina said on Monday.
“On September 10, acting DPR Head Denis Pushilin stated that he was stepping down as People’s Council deputy,” Talakina said.
“To meet the norms of the Constitution and the Law on the Status of People’s Council deputy, I have to resign as lawmaker,” Denis Pushilin told the parliament’s press service.
Following Pushilin’s resignation, the DPR parliament has to elect the new speaker at the next session.*jk
