Donetsk, Oct 4 — DAN. Yevgeny Solntsev has been appointed to the post of chairman of the Donetsk People’s Republic government.
DPR Head Denis Pushiln signed the decree appointing Solntsev prime minister on October 4. The document comes into force on the date of publication.
Solntsev has been DPR premier since March 2023. His candidacy was approved by the previous DPR parliament.
In June 2022, he was appointed to the post of first deputy prime minister of the Republic. Previosuly, he had worked as an aide to the construction and public utilities minister and headed the directorate for comprehensive renovation of railways and construction of railway facilities, a branch of Russian Railways.*jk
