Donetsk, Jan 25 – DAN. DPR Head Denis Pushilin has announced the formation of the DPR Youth Parliament to engage younger generations in the state management. Pushilin made the announcement at the 2018 Person of the Year award ceremony.
"It is extremely important today to engage young people in the state management. First of all, to form and enact youth policy. To achieve it, we are forming the Youth Parliament."
Pushilin said that young people in state management may contribute to grappling with qualified staff shortages in state agencies and to forming the staff pool of the People's Council.
"Besides, these guys can take some positions in ministries and agencies of the Republic. This can not be accomplished in a day or even in a year, but I am sure of the positive outcome," Pushilin said.
The initiative to establish a youth parliament came from the leader of the Young Republic social movement Nikita Kiosev in 2018, and received Pushilin's support. *ot
