Donetsk, Sep 8 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic ombudsperson Darya Morozova said that the conditions for the exercise of voting rights have been created in the Republic.

“Despite the acute phase of armed confrontation, the DPR has created all conditions to exercise the right to elect and be elected, ” Morozova said in a video published on her Telegram channel  on Friday. “Security measures have been taken; the conditions for exercising voting rights have been created.”

No voting incidents had been reported of Friday noon, the DPR Election Commission said on Telegram. The safety of election commissions’ members is ensured by police and Emergency Ministry personnel.

All the 615 polling stations in the DPR began operation on time on Friday. The main voting days in the DPR parliamentary and municipal elections are September 8 through September 10. The polling stations are open from 8:00 to 20:00 on the first two days, and from 8:00 to 16:00 on September 10. Field voting has been arranged for this period. Early voting turnout in the DPR’s parliamentary election exceeded 45 percent. *jk
