Donetsk, Nov 7 – DAN. The DPR Central election Commission has registered nearly 50 foreign observers at the upcoming November 11 elections, the commission's chairwoman Olga Pozdnyakova told journalists.
"We have had 48 international observers registered, who will be present here on the elections day. They are to visit any polling station to estimate the elections," she said.
The registered observers are the nationals of Russia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, eight EU countries: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, Finland, France, Netherlands, and Norway, Turkey, Chili, the Commission said.
The early voting began in the DPR on November 6. DPR service members were the first to cast ballots.
Earlier international observers from Spain, Netherlands and Turkey commended the preparations for the head and parliamentary elections. The French observer said the campaigning was transparent and legitimate.
The Head and Parliamentary elections are to take place in Donbass on November 11. Residents will be able to cast ballots at 408 polling stations; all of the addresses are available at the Central Election commission website.
Five candidates are running for Head: Denis Pushilin, Elena Shishkina, Roman Khramenkov, Vladimir Medvedev, Roman Evstifeyev. Two social movements are running for Parliament: the Donetsk Republic and the Free Donbass.*ot
