Donetsk, May 12 – DAN. The LPR and the DPR are parts of a united Donbass, the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko was quoted as saying by the Lugansk Media Center.
The DPR Head has arrived in Lugansk today to join the celebrations of the fourth anniversary of the LPR independence.
"I am happy to have arrived here. We are showing the whole world that Donetsk and Lugansk are one and the same territory, one and the same country, which is Donbass. Donbass has never been separated; the two republics are two fraternal nations," he said.
The Republic’s Day is celebrated on May 11 in the DPR and on May 12 in the LPR, to commemorate the referendum on the Republics independence, which took place in May 2014. Dozens of events have been organized across Donbass to celebrate it, including solemn marches and concerts featuring famous local and Russian musicians. *ot
