Donetsk, Dec 11 – DAN. The provisions of the Normandy Four communique can nor be implemented until Ukraine corrects the official translation of the document into Ukrainian, said DPR Head Denis Pushilin.
He pointed out that the document published on the Ukrainian presidential website has been deliberately distorted. The original communique says that the sides are interested in agreeing within the N4 and the Contact Group on all legal aspects of the special order of local self-government – special status.
"Ukrainian document reads "all legal aspects of the law on the special status". They narrow down the concept of the special status to one particular law. But this is a package of laws and agreements. Including amendments to the Ukrainian constitution," Pushilin said.
"These were the conditions to sign the Steinmeier formula", he said.
Pushilin described Kiev's actions as an "act of state lying".
The Normandy Four leaders met on December 9 in Paris and agreed to facilitate the release and exchange of conflict-related detainees by year-end, based on the “all for all” principle; to commit to a full and comprehensive implementation of the ceasefire; to support an agreement within the trilateral Contact Group on three additional disengagement areas; to incorporate the Steinmeier formula into the Ukrainian legal system. *ot
