Donetsk, Sep 7 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin has dissolved the Special Commission on recording and gathering evidence of Ukrainian government crimes in Donbass.
Pushilin’s decree No 416, published on his website, annuls his instruction dated May 30, 2016 on setting up the Special Commission.
The document orders the Special Commission chairperson to hand over, within 15 days, the documents in paper or electronic form to the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukrainian war crimes (JCCC).
Decree No 416 comes into force on the date of its official publication.
The Special Commission on recording and gathering evidence of Ukrainian authorities’ crimes in Donbass was set up in May 2016. It documented Kiev’s crimes against humanity and its war crimes in the DPR territory. The Republic intends to present the gathered evidence to international judicial bodies. The Special Commission was chaired by DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.*jk
