Donetsk, Feb 17 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic authorities are ready for direct dialogue with Kiev over making peace in Donbass, DPR Head Denis Pushilin told reporters on Thursday.
“Donbass consistently calls for further talks in Minsk; we give our strong support to the Ukrainian opposition politicians’ initiative to step up the negotiations,” Pushilin said. “We express our readiness for talks, for resuming direct dialogue with Kiev. We state with all responsibility that we’re ready for achieving peace in Ukraine and in Donbass.”
In this connection, Pushilin asked Minsk Agreements guarantors, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron, to influence Ukrainian President Petr Poroshenko and contribute to arranging direct and productive talks.*jk*pp
