Donetsk, Sep 7 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic parliament (People’s Council) at the Friday session set November 11, 2018 as the date for early parliamentary and Head of Republic elections.
The lawmakers also terminated the power of DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko in connection with his death and appointed People’s Council speaker Denis Pushilin as acting DPR head.
Earlier on Friday, acting DPR Prosecutor General Andrey Spivak submitted a statement to the parliament stating the need to appoint the interim Head of the Republic, form the Council of Ministers and the Central Election Commission and create all conditions for holding a snap election in the Republic.
DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko was killed in an explosion in central Donetsk on August 31.*jk
