Donetsk, Feb 7 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has set up an anti-terrorism commission and an operations headquarters, said DPR State Security Ministry press service officer Mikhail Popov.

“The Anti-Terrorism Commission is headed by DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin and the Operations Headquarters by director of the Federal Security Service Department for the DPR Maj-Gen Oleg Bolomozhnov, ” Popov said.

The new bodies will coordinate the activity of territorial branches of DPR federal bodies in preventing manifestations of terrorism and extremism, he said.

Their duties include planning, committing the resources of law-enforcement bodies, ministries and departments to the fight against terrorism, and control of anti-terrorist operations.

These organizations have been established in accordance with the Russian president’s decree N 116 dated February 15, 2006.*jk
