Donetsk, Jan 23 — DAN. Russia’s Federal Security Service has set up a regional department in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the DPR Territorial Defense Headquarters reported on Monday.
“According to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decree of December 31, 2022 a department of the Federal Security Service was established in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, ” the report said.
The FSB Department for the DPR is led by Maj-Gen Oleg Bolomozhnov.
The FSB department operates in the region on the strength of the federal law “On Federal Security Service” and other Russian federal laws and legal acts.*jk
