Donetsk, Sep 22 — DAN. The presidium of the Donetsk People’s Republic parliament has reviewed the candidates for the post of DPR Head proposed by President Vladimir Putin, the regional parliament press service reported on Friday.
“The first session of the presidium chaired by DPR parliament speaker Artyom Zhoga considered the candidates for the post of DPR Head proposed by Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, parliament session preparations and the voting form, ” the press service said.
The presidium’s functions include coordination of the parliament committees’ work and assistance to lawmakers in the performance of their duties.
The parliament was formed based on the results of the regional elections earlier this month. It is the first DPR parliament elected under the Russian law. The parliament held its first session on Wednesday.*jk
