Donetsk, Oct 27 – DAN. The DPR is looking into reports that Ukrainian armed formations employ Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles in Donbass, the DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonorova said.

"We are following into reports of possible employment of Turkey-made Bayraktar TB2 UAVs by the Ukrainian armed forces. We have no confirmation at the moment. We have demanded that Ukraine clarify its army HQ statement on employing these devices in combat."

The issue has been brought up at today's Contact Group video conference.

Employing combat aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in a 30 km wide zone along the line of contact is banned under Article 7 of Minsk Memorandum, with the sole exception of OSCE SMM UAVs.

With a range of over 160 km, the SMM’s long-range UAVs operate over Donbass equally on both sides of the contact line, including at night when mobile ground patrolling is restricted. *ot
