Donetsk, Nov 21 — DAN. Kiev regime has prepared the scenario for Donbass which the West is currently implementing in the Middle East where the civilian population is suffering huge casualties, Russian Foreign Ministry envoy on Kiev regime crimes Rodion Miroshnik said at a news briefing.
“Had it not been for the fact of the recognition of the Donbass Republics on February 21, 2021, the signing of the friendship and cooperation treaties with the LPR an the DPR, and the launching of the special military operation, Donbass residents would have suffered the fate of the victims whose death we are witnessing in the Middle East, ” TASS quoted Miroshnik as saying.
The envoy recalled the precedents such as the Lvov Holocaust and the Volyn Massacre in the period of World War II when Ukrainian Nazis tortured civilians. Russia assumes that Ukraine already attempted to seize Donbass militarily with the West’s total support. Back then, Kiev authorities, in violation of the Minsk agreements, attempted to mop up the Donbass population.
By way of evidence, Miroshnik cited OSCE monitoring mission statistics according to which Ukrainian gunmen fired up to 1,500 rounds of ammunition at DPR and LPR settlements in the period from February 17 to February 24 every day. The diplomat said that it had been artillery preparation ahead of the beginning of active military operation.*jk
