Donetsk, Sep 30 — DAN. The DPR Head Denis Pushilin has expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for playing important role in the history of Donbass.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and the DPR Head Denis Pushilin signed treaties Friday on the accession of the Republic to the Russian Federation as its subject. Similar treaties were signed on the accession of the LPR, the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The four regions earlier held referendums on joining Russia that revealed a massive public support of the move.
In the DPR, in particular, 99,23 pc of voters supported joining Russia.
“On behalf of all the DPR residents, I express deep gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for every step and decision that became a basis for the restoration of historical truth and justice,” he said.
Pushilin described today’s signing of the decrees on DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions accession to Russia as a “momentous historical event”.
“We are back home, Donbass has returned to Russia, Russia has expanded with millions of its patriots,” the DPR leader said. *ot
