Donetsk, Nov 10 – DAN. The day of election silence has come into force today in the DPR as campaigning is banned 24 hours prior to the Head and Parliamentary elections.

Month-long campaigning effectively wrapped up on Saturday as the law bans both candidates and citizens from campaign on November 10.

The Head and Parliamentary elections are to take place in Donbass on November 11. Residents will be able to cast ballots at 408 polling stations across the DPR, all of the addresses are available at the Central Election commission website.

Five candidates are running for Head: Denis Pushilin, Elena Shishkina, Roman Khramenkov, Vladimir Medvedev, Roman Evstifeyev. Two social movements are running for Parliament: the Donetsk Republic and the Free Donbass.

International observers have been invited to monitor the elections, 48 of them, nationals of Russia, Abkhazia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, Finland, France, Chili and South Ossetia, have registered as monitors. *ot
