Donetsk, May 18 — DAN. Donetsk and Anadyr, the capital of the Chukotka Autonomous Area, will develop mutually advantageous economic cooperation, Donetsk People’s Republic Acting Head Denis Pushilin said on Thursday following his talks with Chukotka Acting Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov.

“We discussed opportunities for mutually advantageous economic cooperation between our regions and plans for rebuilding Debaltsevo; Chukotka has become the sponsor region for this town, ” Pushilin wrote on Telegram. “I thank Chukotka residents for supporting Donbass, I’m confident of our effective interaction as a distance is no obstacle to like-minded people.”

At present, eight far-eastern regions are participating in DPR rebuilding projects: Yakutia, Buryatia, Primorye, Kamchatka and Khabarovsk Territories, and Amur, Magadan and Sakhalin regions, he said.

Last year, they helped restore 324 infrastructure facilities including 31 schools, ten kindergartens, two hospitals, six apartment buildigns, roads and water lines. They bored 21 water wells, built 18 children’s playgrounds and delivered more than 250 tons of relief supplies to the DPR.

On March 15, 2023, President Vladimir Putin appointed Vladislav Kuznetsov Acting Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Area. Previously, Kuznetsov occupied the post of first deputy chairman of the Lugansk People’s Republic government.*jk
