Donetsk, Jan 28 - DAN. Ukraine has to present to the Donetsk People’s Republic a plan to drop charges against the people released during prisoner exchanges, DPR ombudswoman, the Republic’s representative in the Minsk subgroup on humanitarian issues Darya Morozova told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“We expect Ukrainian negotiators to present a clear action plan, in order to understand how much progress has been made in dropping charges (against the released persons - eds Donetsk News Agency), whether they intend to do it at all, following which we’ll be able to discuss preparations for next stages of the exchange,” Morozova said.

The previous prisoner exchange in Donbass took place in April 2020. Donetsk handed over nine people to Kiev and the latter passed ten people to Donetsk. Fifty detainees have been passed to the Republic over two years, but the DPR repeatedly stated that Kiev had not dropped charges or criminal prosecution against them.*jk
