Donetsk, Nov 8 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic elections present an opportunity to show the whole world a consolidated DPR society fighting external aggression, People’s Council (parliament) deputy Yekaterina Martyanova, Donetsk Republic faction, told the Donetsk News Agency.
“The elections in the Republic will prove that our people stand united. Our capability to resist external military, economic and information aggression depends on the collective stand to choose our fate independently,” Martyanova said.
She said that according to the Kiev regime plans, the August 31 terrorist attack in which DPR’s first Head Alexander Zakharchenko was killed, had to weaken the Republic, but in actual fact, it consolidated people.
DPR residents should respond to the international community’s refusal to recognize the Donbass elections with large voter turnout on the election day. “Thus, we’ll show the whole world that we have succeeded as a real state. I’m sure the November 11 voting will substantiate it,” the parliamentarian said.
The DPR will elect its parliament and Head of the Republic on November 11. Five people are running for Head of the Republic: Denis Pushilin, Yelena Shishkina, Roman Khramenkov, Vladimir Medvedev and Roman Yevstifeyev. Two social movements will compete for parliament seats: Donetsk Republic and Free Donbass.*jk
