Donetsk, Apr 18 – DAN. Members of the Contact Group's working group on economic issues have reached an understanding on a time-bound plan to restore the Vodafone mobile carrier operation in the DPR, said DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin’s press secretary Viktoria Talakina.
"The restoration of Vodafone remains one of the key issues for the economic group. Today's meeting resulted in an understating of a timeframe of Vodafone's restoration. Further steps depend on Ukraine's action or inaction," she said.
The DPR authorities have provided all necessary guarantees requested by the Ukrainian side, thus fulfilling their parts of the agreements.
On January 11, the DPR was cut off from the last Ukrainian mobile carrier MTS-Ukraine (Vodafone) services after an emergency disconnection of communication channel outside Elenovka. Currently, a DPR mobile carrier Phoenix is the only mobile services provider in the Republic. *ot
