Donetsk, Apr 18 — DAN. Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko and Donetsk People’s Republic Acting Head Denis Pushilin have met on Tuesday to discuss cooperation in the fields of agriculture, industry and construction.
“Alexander Lukashenko emphasized Belarus’ readiness to provide assistance to DPR residents and help rebuild the Republic, ” Pushilin wrote on Telegram. “We discussed mutually advantageous cooperation between our region and the Republic of Belarus in the field of agriculture, given Belarus’ high competences, as well as in industry and construction due to a large scope of rebuilding works in the DPR.”
He thanked the Belarussian leader for the invitation to pay an official visit to Minsk.
Earlier reports on Tuesday said that Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko had had a meeting with DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin. It is their first official meeting since the Donetsk region’s accession to Russia.*jk
