Donetsk, Apr 19 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities will not overlook the appeal by residents of the Rozovsky district in the Zaporozhye region to join the DPR, the Republic’s leader Denis Pushilin said on Russia24 news channel.
Earlier on Tuesday, Rozovsky district residents held a rally at which they decided to join this area to the DPR.
“It’s not the first, yet surely it’s the first public appeal, so outspoken that it deserves special attention,” Pushilin said. “It is a sort of a civilian feat. People have suffered a lot during all these eight years; people are tired of this Nazi regime, and they certainly want changes; changes for the better.”
“As for changing the administrative borders; given the fact that the Donetsk People’s Republic is recognized within its constitutional borders, this issue will be considered later,” he said.
The district residents’ appeal will not be overlooked and the Republic will provide comprehensive assistance to them. This includes payments of pensions, wages in the public sector and welfare benefits, medical aid, and provision of security by the police and emergency services, the DPR leader said. *jk
