Donetsk, Nov 29 — DAN. A transformer was damaged as Ukrainian forces fired a high mobility artillery rocket system at the Donetsk People’s Republic Amvrosiyevka district, local administration head Igor Lyzov said.
“At 03:50, the Kvashino station was hit by explosive ordnance fired by Ukrainian armed formations, ” Lyzov said. “The strike damaged a 110kW transformer leaving 16 settlements without electricity. Repairs are underway.”
He added that power supply would be restored later in the day.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian gunmen overnight to Tuesday shelled Kvashino on the border with the Rostov region damaging railway infrastructure. The shelling did not affect train traffic in the area.*jk
