Donetsk, Nov 7 — DAN. Ukrainian forces used a US-made multiple rocket launcher to deliver fire at central Donetsk last night, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported on Monday.
The enemy fired six M142 HIMARS missiles at civil facilities from its positions northwest of Donetsk, ” the JCCC said.
The artillery attack damaged the Donetsk Railways administration building as it took a direct hit. Windows of adjacent houses such the Tsentral Hotel and several buildings in Artyom Street and Myakovsky Avenue were damaged in the shelling.
There were no casualties.
The strike was delivered at around 3:00. The fire at the Donetsk Railways building had been contained by 9:00; firefighting efforts continue. Two dozen units of equipment and more than 80 personnel of the DPR Emergencies Ministry were initially involved in the firefighting operation. The task force currently numbers some 40 personnel.*jk
