Donetsk, Jul 5 — DAN. Ukrainian forces have shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic 50 times over the past 24 hours expending almost 300 rounds of ammunition.
The enemy used artillery pieces and multiple rocket launchers supplied by NATO countries. Three civilians were killed and another 46 were wounded in Kiev artillery attacks, according to the latest reports.
Most of the casualties were reported in Makeyevka which came under massive missile attack on Tuesday evening. Some 40 buildings, including nine health care facilities and 25 homes were damaged in the town. The blast wave was felt as far away as several kilometers.
Damage was caused to the housing stock in four districts of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and neighboring settlements. Artillery strikes caused power outages; repairs had been completed by Tuesday evening. The information on the aftermath of the shelling is being updated.*jk
