Donetsk, Nov 10 — DAN. Security police have detained a Ukrainian citizen in the Donetsk People’s Republic who planned the assassination of a Mariupol company director.
“A Ukrainian national has been detained on suspicion of masterminding a contract hit, ” TASS said citing a report by the Federal Security Service Department for the DPR. “The detainee was abroad when he was plotting the murder of a Mariupol production association director.”
The FSB said that it had prevented the murder.
TASS reported that the regional Investigative Committee department filed criminal proceedings over the assassination attempt. According to the investigator, the suspect offered a DPR resident 6.5 million rubles for murdering the businessman.*jk
