Donetsk, Mar 7 — DAN. Russia’s Promsvyazbank (PSB) has opened nine offices in the towns of Mariupol, Volnovakha and Svetlodarsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Bank’s press service told the Donetsk News Agency.

“PSB is operating six offices in Mariupol, two in Volnovakha and one in Svetlodarsk, ” the press service said adding that the Bank had installed 23 ATMs in these towns (17 in Mariupol, four in Volnovakha and two in Svetlodarsk).  With the acquisition of PSB Donetsk Ltd, the number of PSB ATMs across the Republic increased to 389.

Promsvyazbank was established in 1995. It is one of the largest Russian banks with head office in Moscow.  PSB began to operate in the DPR in June 2022. In January 2023, the regional parliament passed the law on restructuring the DPR Central Bank into a limited liability company for subsequent sale to PSB. In February 2023, PSB acquired PSB Donetsk Ltd.

The Donetsk News Agency earlier reported that PSB had increased the number of its offices in the DPR to 248 and installed 3,200 cashless settlement terminals in regional retail chains.*jk
