Donetsk, Feb 21 — DAN. Russia will scale up the program of the socio-economic rebuilding of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, President Vladimir Putin said in his address to the Federal Assembly on Tuesday.
“We’ve already begun and will scale up the extensive program of the socio-economic rebuilding and development of these new Russian regions, ” Putin said. “It’s about reviving enterprises and jobs, ports of the Sea of Azov which became Russia’s inland sea, building new modern roads as we did in Crimea which now has got a reliable land link with the whole Russia.”
Other regions are also providing direct support to the new regions. They are doing it sincerely like true brothers and sisters. “We’re together again, and this means we’ve become stronger and will do everything to bring back the long-awaited peace to our land and ensure the safety of people, ” the president said.
The DPR rebuilding program is being implemented with the support of federal authorities; 56 Russian regions are providing direct assistance to the Republic’s towns and districts.*jk
